ravenous:movie

my stupid netflixs are acting up again.
so.
i wanted this.
set during the mexican american war. i did a paper on this war.
towards the end when the guy yells manifest destiny, that was pretty right on, that is all what that war was about. we took mexico. we wanted land. hungary.
this movie is grusome.
violent.
kind of depressing.
there is not much even to the storyline.
but it is really good.
there was the indians in it. yeah!
and snow snow snow.
the landscape shot and set really captured the sense of the movie.

now that i am thinking, i'm wondering if this movie is trying to show the cannibal aspect of humans, compared to the cannibal hungar of manifest destiny. hmmm. interesting.
